Defining Neuroscience with Dr. Sajad Haghshenas

ZeePlatform Haghshenas Defining neuroscience cover
Hello, It’s Dr. Sajad Haghshenas from Zee, Today we’re going to talk about a quite interesting topic called Neuroscience! In this video, we’ll go through the process of defining neuroscience in simple words.
Let’s watch a few clips together.

How did they make you feel?
I’m guessing you’re either hungry or maybe feeling a bit thirsty.

Brain Stimuli

Every single notion that goes on in our brain is initiated by receiving stimuli like noise, light, different tastes, and smells, from the environment.
These in-going stimuli cause some responses by our brain. Many successful businesses, in the modern world, incorporate the analyzed data these responses provide to their marketing advantage. Mostly to lower the costs, increase sales, and attract more customers. These companies aim to guide your subconscious mind to the path of becoming a customer.

Neuromarketing

Neuromarketing, one of neuroscience’s subsets, is the science of predicting and analyzing customer behavior. Its theories were initially presented by Gerald Zaltman in the ’90s. Interestingly enough, Coca Cola is one of the pioneers in implementing the science of Neuromarketing.
Now, what does this mean?
Let me tell you a bit about the human brain!
Our brain has a complex structure, made of specialized parts that are connected with neural circuits. The response our brain has to stimuli differs based on the activation of each brain part. Technology today studies brain circuits and responses. The analysis of these new machines helps us predict human judgment and decision-making. That’s the start of defining neuroscience!
Now think of all the things we can do with this data to develop and expand a business platform!
Thank you for your time.
